Book Review: 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher

“I hope you're ready because I'm about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended. And if you're listening to these tapes, you're one of the reasons why.” A Rumour started a reputation that other people believed  in and reacted to and sometimes a rumour has a snowball effect. A Rumour is Just the Begining. so basically the plot is our dude(Clay Jensen) returns from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. inside he discovered thirteen cassette tapes recorded by Dead girl Hanna Bakar, his classmate who had committed suicide two weeks earlier. basically, those tapes were like journals of Hanna were she justifies her reason to consider suicide and she made the tapes in same order how her friend and classmates betrayed her. I consider first few reasons where consist of high school bullying, then it shifted real dark when stuff like physical abuse, accidental murder and Rapes popped up. I ...

Book Review: Pulse by Gail McHugh

When I tried to structure my thoughts to write this review, I discovered that it’s actually very hard to write something about a book I liked but didn’t love. I definitely have no hard feeling toward “pulse” but I also don’t really have anything to rave about. Which makes me feel a little conflict about the rating.

Here, the recap for its first part collide, it’s simple, Love triangle to be exact. Gavin meets Emily, things looks good between them, till Gavin’s ex-entered his apartment, and from there things started went to south when Emily get back to his bf Dillon and decided to married him, book ended on cliff hanger where Emily decided to not to marry her first love and get back to her only true love.

How do you keep existing when your heart is so splintered, so completely torn to shreds, your pulse is fading?

This story starts as a little bit of a love triangle, but then only true love will be the one to conquer. What will happen when Emily is finally able to be with the one man she truly loves, will it be easy for her to fight and win for the truth burning inside her heart?

I was totally blindsided by the plot for this book. Shit a brick! I really didn't see it coming. I don't know why, looking back, now I know, I can totally see the clues... but anyway, I didn't guess and I was shocked. I actually loved the solidarity between Gavin and Emily in this book. They talked, they communicated, they dealt with situations as best they could, like rational adults, despite the shitty hand they were dealt. It was so refreshing! There was no ridiculous overreactions, no miscommunications, no petty issues... the problems they faced were real, heartbreaking.

I will rate this novel 4.2/5

If you haven’t been through this one, make sure you read the book before reading further, because it will have

At about the 30% mark I was loving it, but thinking, okay, this is good, but I kind of feel like we've come to a conclusion right now... there were absolutely time when I wanted to put Emily standing in front of running train, while dillion needed to be in cast for whole time.

Pulse picks up right where Collide ended. Gavin moved to the Caribbean to fill the void in her heart, by being christen grey of the novel. While at home Emily got manhandled by her ex- fiancée, yeah he physically abused her. Which made it pretty clear it’s not going to be love triangle anymore. Emily decided to visit Gavin to take her back, as Gavin has disconnected all his ties from the world. Gavin and Emily's reunion wasn't a wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am. But it didn't drag out. They came back Emily moved in with Gavin in his Penthouse. Gavin kicked Dillion ass finally, and story looked quite shorted… Till Emily find out she was Pregnant & she got no idea about who is her baby’s father… which leads Dillion to get back in lives of couples life, to make it more miserable than it was already, finally after lots drama and torcher for both Emily and Gavin Emily finds out about her child parents… it's Gavin, what are you hoping for, after that rest of the novel was how they lived happily afterward as a married couple.
And lastly, but absolutely definitely not least then 15-10, There are some sexy as hell sex scenes in this book.
There's a lot of heartaches, and Collide is maddening beyond belief at times. But it does have some pretty sweet quotes as well
“I can’t promise you it’ll always be sweet and tender because you and I fight hard, but I’m pretty sure it won’t be horror ride either because you and I love even harder.”- Gavin
“We were written for one another and I wouldn’t change one line in our romance novel. The good, the bad, the in between. It’s ours. We own it” -Gavin
“the thought of not seeing your eyes when I wake up, or not hearing you are asleep made me sick. With all of that, I decided no, I can’t go another day without you. I don’t want to go another day without you” -Gavin
“Gavin Blake, you’re more of a man than any man I’ve ever known. You’re gentle. you’re kind. You’re strong and witty. You’re personable and warm. and you can reduce most females into blithering puddles of goo with the simplest words.”-Emily
“Baited. Hook. Line. And. Mother-fucking .sinker”-Gavin

Right, do you think I should probably stop typing now? I mean, if that review hasn't sold it to, I think you're pretty un-impress-able! I could go on...                                  but I don't think it's necessary.
